What is an Aftermarket Vehicle Immobiliser?

Which immobiliser is the best for you?
In the vast majority of enquiries, at VSS we highly recommend a Ghost Immobiliser installation. It’s simply because Ghost Immobiliser has proven over the years to be the most reliable and effective device of them all. Combined with a GPS tracker for example it creates a perfect security combo and helps to meet insurance companies requirements.
However, if you want to try something else or if your car, van or a motorcycle is not equipped with the CAN-BUS system you may want to consider going for a NO TAG=NO START immobiliser like Meta Trak Autoblok or Global Telemetrics Shadow Immobiliser. It’s a great alternative for classic cars. If your ID tag or mobile phone isn’t present the vehicle won’t start. In some cases a GPS tracker or vehicle alarm system is a way to go.
